Greetings to Everyone!
My name is Cheryl Jones-Allie and I am your child’s Second Grade Teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into my classroom. This will be my twentieth year teaching, including two and a half years teaching abroad in the Middle East working as an English teacher with Emirati children. I am very excited about working with your child this year! We are going to learn so much and have just as much fun while doing so!
My experience has included my professional growth in educating the next generation in S.T.E.A.M. My work with many organizations in the community has allowed me to teach children before and after school with meaningful enrichments that sustains learning in the classroom and connects to the real world.
I am the mother of Abass (A.J.) and Yasmin (Jazzy) and the wife of Abass Allie. I am also the author of The Adventures of Yazzy and AJ and the Founder of an after school program in the city of Atlanta. I am a strong advocate of children learning so much about S.T.E.M. and S.T.E.A.M. I believe that mastering S.T.E.M. fields equips my students with skills necessary to be a productive and contributing member in a global society.
